The works in the "Parcelles" (Patches) collection come from my two "therapeutic works on Plywood," painted in 2022.
In my desire to create something useful from the hardships I've endured, I cut 25 "patches" from my two large plywood works, painted in 2022 with the energy of despair. I retouched each of these 25 small works one by one, this time with an energy filled with joy, confidence, and renewed determination.
With these small-format paintings, I want to share patches of light, courage, serenity, gentleness, freedom, etc., with those who need them.
